By the end of 2010 legislators will require utility companies to implement energy rates that depend on the load or on the time of day. T-Systems offers utility companies the expertise and the applications for remote meter reading. The Telekom subsidiary makes the data available to consumers via the Internet so that all energy consumption is transparent. This opens up new business models for the energy industry, such as for intelligent linking of devices and energy supply technologies for the home or for electric vehicles.
