The People’s Car Project: first network, then drive
To date, Volkswagen China has received some 100,000 ideas and suggestions about the car of the future via the social media platform “The People’s Car Project” (PCP). Users in China have been able to submit their ideas for the mobility of tomorrow within the framework of the Web 2.0 project since the spring of 2011. The bright blue “Flubber Car” (see picture) is a suggestion by Volkswagen. Marketing Manager Sven Neumann and IT Manager Günther Braun of the Volkswagen Group China explain the idea behind PCP in an interview.
